MN: Milan aiming to close two free transfers but then investments must follow

At the beginning of June there was a revolution at AC Milan as Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara were sacked from their roles, but not a lot has happened since.

As MilanNews report, CEO Giorgio Furlani, chief scout Geoffrey Moncada and coach Stefano Pioli will now have the power when it comes to recruiting players and improving the squad in view of next season.

The first move for the new management should be the arrival of Daichi Kamada, who will undergo his medical with Milan as soon as his agents resolve some bureaucratic issues and the signatures should arrive at the beginning of July.

Kamada will arrive on a free transfer, just as another Bosman is being eyed in Marcus Thuram, who has to decide between Milan’s offer of €5m net per season and a leading role versus that of PSG who have bid €7m per season but cannot guarantee him a starting spot.

After hopefully securing the two free transfers, Furlani and Moncada will look with more concentration at reinforcing the squad available to Pioli with the purchase of some players for a financial outlay.

Profiles expiring in 2024 such as Samuel Chukwueze are interesting, plus some other talents like Arda Guler. In among all that, the importance of selling players like Ante Rebic and Divock Origi – plus potentially Chelsea De Ketelaere – will be paramount.
