MN: Milan looking to strengthen in two positions in January – the two known targets

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan intend to strengthen in two positions in the January transfer window, a report claims, although only two targets are known.

With Sunday’s win over Fiorentina and thanks to Napoli’s victory over Roma, the Rossoneri are now five points clear atop the Serie A table after nine games played as they continue to break all kinds of records.

According to the latest from MilanNews, there are two roles in which the management wish to intervene in order to try and complete the squad: centre-back and striker.

The belief is that signing a player in each position will help to raise the overall competitiveness of a squad which has seen its depth tested already this season.

At the moment it seems Strasbourg’s Mohamed Simakan and Schalke’s Ozan Kabak are the two most followed defensive profiles, while in terms of strikers there are no known players.

The report mentions that the scouting department is keeping the market monitored for opportunities so Pioli can finally help Ibrahimovic manage his workload with an able deputy.
