MN: Milan do not want to sell Krunic despite Lyon bid

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan have no interest in selling Rade Krunic this summer despite a fresh bid coming in from Lyon for the Bosnian midfielder, a report claims.

As has been reported by Milan News, the Rossoneri are not expected to accept the bid that came in for the former Empoli midfielder on Wednesday.

The bid was said to be €12-13m which is around the fee that Milan were asking from Fenerbahce when the Turkish side was showing an interest.

The reason that Milan do not want to sell Krunic is primarily tactical. He is now one of the starting players in the midfield and he is heavily appreciated by both his teammates and the coach, Stefano Pioli.

Also, the transfer window will close on Friday at 20:00 CEST and that leaves very little time for Milan to replace Krunic adequately, whilst also keeping within the budget constraints.

That would be even harder given Mehdi Taremi’s arrival.

  1. Not planning to start a war here, but Florentina accepted a 20M bid for Amrabat from Nottingham Forest. Wouldn’t it have been better to sign him on loan with an obligation to buy? I mean, we can afford to pay 20M for him.

      1. Fiorentina has an option to unilaterally extend his contract for another year. So yeah they can do a loan with obligation because he basically has a contract till 2025

          1. Actually that’s what utd are doing. Stop trying to be a smart ass and showing attitude to people Mr mkay, show some and maybe you’ll get it in return.

    1. A war? Here? Oh come on….this is the most peaceful place on earth. I leave my meditation spa all the time to come here instead for inner peace.
      It’s always so wholesome 😊

      1. It’s certainly a great forum for venting….

I think it’ll calm down once the cursed transfer window closes.

Those who only follow football during transfer windows will leave.

Those who actually follow football will stay and then it’ll be mostly about arguing about what happened on the pitch. Those arguments are generally more grounded in reality because the matches just happened whereas transfer window speculation is mostly a mixture of existentialism and BS.

      1. If it was anyone else I would assume they were joking, but not Turtle. I think he actually believes it. The only person that loves Krunic more than Pioli is Turtle. I think he’s Bosnian or something.

        1. Bro I can see his comment as both a joke and serious statement and I can roll with both but my guess it’s the joke one. The serious one would mean a club would have to overpay this late in the window hence the exaggerated amount also likened to his shirt number. 🤦‍♂️
Not saying we could actually get 33m but what the figure means or alternatively you could also say there’s no way anyone will pay 33m and that’s fine too. He’s probably being facetious…it’s a Krunic article after all and people who don’t like him lose their sh*t over him.

  2. I’ve given up at this point. Pioli will never let him go. He’s Pirlo in his eyes. I’m resigned to having this mediocre, career back-up now starting for Milan for half of the season at least. Only an injury could get him out of the starting lineup now…

    1. Blinded by love. The squad is great with one glaring weakness that he refuses to acknowledge. He will definitely take Krunic’s last name when they get married.

      1. That glaring weakness is the player who played an integral part in getting Milan to the semi-finals of the champions league, and who was actually part of the Scudetto winning side?

And the unheralded strength are the players who have mostly not won anything?

  3. We are now forever divided between the Krunicists and the Anti-Krunicists.

Who knew such a mediocre player could have such an effect!

    1. Just imagine.. I think Krunic shouldn’t be a starter and we should get someone who can play a DM properly and yet I’m a Krunicist 😂😂😂😂
And it all boils down to me thinking he’s a great back-up/squad player and also present stats to support my point from time to time..Apparently he’s my boyfriend too 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣
      Dude should leave tbh 😭

      1. I think the issue that everyone (especially the directors) are missing is…..the best team rarely wins the title.

I mean famously Milan won the title (with Krunic) and were not the best team so not sure how this very recent example has been forgotten.

During Juve’s record run of 9 Scudetti they were were rarely the best team compared to say Sarri’s Napoli and Garcia’s Roma. Juve won Scudetti with the likes of Padoin, Sturaro, Giaccherini, Borriello and Matri.

And they won those Scudetti because these types of players played like champions.

This is the measure of a team that is playing at its peak.

The fact is if Krunic is playing well it could well be the sign that Milan are playing well. The day he stops performing watch the wheels come off.

        1. Lol! Wow, I don’t know where to start. The best rarely wins haha wtf….

Look at Juves starting 11 during those years, stacked. They lost to only Barca and Real in CL final.

Krunic sucks every game and Milan does just fine with his low-level performance. Your takes are borderline delusional man.

          1. Are you denying that those players I listed above were Scudetto winners?

Are you saying that Milan (with Krunic) were better than Inter in 21/22?

Are you just denying reality because it doesn’t for with your worldview?

I should clarify however that it’s rarely best team that wins IT’S THE TIGHTEST.

We could’ve finished second last season had we beaten the likes of Cremonese, Lecce, Spezia, Empoli and Salernitana (those games cost us 15 points which would’ve put us on 85 points).

Now given your entire worldview is that footballers are neatly categorised by overall ratings like in FIFA, how did Milan with a team of players with say OVR80 drop so many points to teams with say OVR70?

How in your world where there are such simple straight lines, do the league standings not perfectly reflect each team’s overall ability?

In fact why do teams even bother playing and when we can just do a OVR comparison?

      2. I dont mind ACM selling him next summer , not now after just 2 days before market close. That will make 433 or 4231 unstable on midfield . Benna injured almost one season, yunus still need more time to adapt with krunic role. Some ppl here just need professional help, their hating toward one person are crazy . ACM pay him 1,5m euro nett and get versatile squad player

  4. I specifically watch Krunic in DM position, just few wins Cricket fans now thinks that Krunic is Rodri and Casemiro combine 🤣🤣🤣🤣
    Sell the Lord asap.

  5. Sign Amrabat and keep Krunic as back up, simples.
    Then we will be covered.
As we are our defense will be exposed by better teams, we need a good DM
