The AC Milan management will try to improve the squad next month with signings, but there is the possibility that a new centre-forward might not arrive.
According to what Antonio Vitiello has written in his column for MilanNews, the ownership ‘will not remain immobile’ in the face of the team’s injury difficulties. Pierre Kalulu and Malick Thiaw will be out for a while yet, as will Noah Okafor and Tommaso Pobega too.
The urgency remains in defence and the objective is to ‘get one or two defenders’. The mercato will come to Milan’s rescue and any interventions in midfield will also be evaluated, especially if Rade Krunic were to leave. In that case, with the proceeds from the sale of the Bosnian, a new player could arrive to replace him.
In attack, however, it depends on the opportunities that arise. Milan’s hope is that Luka Jovic can provide guarantees, as demonstrated on the pitch in recent outings with goals and assists. If this continues, Milan ‘could postpone the purchase of a centre-forward until June’.
