MN: Milan want to follow up Kalulu signing with €20m international as duo could leave

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have got their sights on signing another right-back this summer despite the arrival of Pierre Kalulu, it is claimed.

According to MilanNews, Kalulu is not enough of an acuqisition to consider Milan’s right-back department as completely fixes, especially given that both Davide Calabria and Andrea Conti have struggled all season.

The Rossoneri have chosen Denzel Dumfries of PSV Eindhoven as the man they want to be their new starting right-back and the first talks are underway, with PSV asking for about €20million to part with their captain.

Milan’s idea is to include Ricardo Rodriguez in the deal to lower the cash sum required, but the Dutch side do not seem keen on that idea, though the feeling is a deal can be struck for Dumfries regardless of what will happen with the Swiss.

The future therefore looks bleak for both Conti and Calabria as the game time would be reduced substantially is Dumfries joined. It is likely that at least one of the two is destined to leave the Rossoneri club, without excluding a double exit.
