MN: Milan willing to triple Kalulu’s pay – he could become a permanent starter

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are looking to reward their key performers after the Scudetto winning season, and Pierre Kalulu is certainly among them.

According to a report from MilanNews, Kalulu’s excellent performances over the last three months of the season when paired with Fikayo Tomori proved that he can be a starter-level player despite having been mostly used as a right-back before than.

There is the possibility that an investment could be made by the management on a profile like Sven Botman or Gleison Bremer, but it cannot be excluded that Kalulu fights for his spot and keeps it. Milan are already thinking about an extension until 2026, raising his salary from €500k net to around €1.5m net per season.

The French defender spoke during an interview with Telefoot yesterday and confirmed that his desire is to stay with the Rossoneri.

“When we celebrated the title on the streets of Milan, I really understood the importance and influence of the club. It is enormous. We are talking about the extension of the contract with the club and with my entourage. When you are in the winning team, you necessarily want to stay there,” he said.

  1. Make him the starter imo. No need to spend crazy money for botman/bremer. If we really need a defender we will sign in January. Make him starter with Gabbia and Kjaer as back ups
