MN: Milan working on signing of Schalke, Chelsea defenders after securing Man Utd man

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are all set to confirm the signing of Diogo Dalot from Manchester United, but they are also working on other signings.

According to MilanNews, Dalot landed at Milan Linate airport on Saturday and will join Milan on a one-year dry loan. The first part of medical examinations at the La Madonnina clinic ended after 20:00, while on Sunday morning he will carry out fitness tests and then go to Casa Milan to sign, where he will meet all the Rossoneri management.

Dalot will arrive to reinforce the full-back department given the lack of guarantees that were offered by Andrea Conti and Davide Calabria last season, and he can also play left-back if needed which would free the sale of Diego Laxalt.

The market has not ended there though because the management are working to sign another centre-back. Schalke’s Ozan Kabak and Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger are the two main names at the moment, with talks ongoing but difficult.

There are two days left and a centre-back remains the priority, but Schalke are asking for €25-30m while Milan have offered €15m, however they are working on the inclusion of bonuses or special formulas to approach the demands of the Germans.
