MN: Milan working to organise two or three friendlies at start of September – the details

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are looking to organise at least two friendlies before they begin their journey of Europa League qualification, a report claims.

Stefano Pioli’s squad are set to reconvene at Milanello on August 24 to begin preseason preparations, but so far there has been virtually no movement regarding renewals, new transfers or even warm-up games.

However, MilanNews are reporting that Milan are working to organise two or three friendlies at the beginning of September, about ten days after the start of preseason on 24 August.

The club are thinking about a friendly match against Silvio Berlusconi’s Monza, but nothing has yet been made official. In addition, the Rossoneri could also organise a friendly match against a higher-level team from abroad, COVID-19 permitting,  before their Europa League qualifiers begin.

Work is therefore in progress to try and arrange some matches that will be useful for head coach Stefano Pioli to test the group before the start of the new season.
