MN: Milan’s departure for Cagliari postponed to allow another round of tests

AC Milan have been forced to delay their departure for Cagliari so the squad can undergo another round of COVID tests, it is claimed.

Milan will leave for Sardinia without the suspended Rafael Leao, the injured duo of Matteo Gabbia and Ismael Bennacer, plus the COVID-positive duo of Rade Krunic and Ante Rebic.

Not only that, but the club announced this morning that two more players have tested positive in Hakan Calhanoglu and Theo Hernandez, bringing the total number out due to the virus up to four.

According to what is being reported by MilanNews, Milan’s departure for Cagliari – initially scheduled for today – has been postponed to Monday to allow another round of swab tests.

This choice is simply a precaution after the tests that discovered that Theo Hernandez and Calhanoglu have the virus and is therefore nothing to be immediately alarmed about.
