MN: Milan’s probable XI against Parma – Kessie over Krunic; Piatek to start

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is likely to make two changes from the team that played Napoli ahead of Sunday’s trip to Parma, a report claims.

According to MilanNews.it, Milan left for Parma on Saturday afternoon after finishing training in the morning, and Lucas Paquetà will not be part of the plans due to a muscular problem.

Mattia Caldara meanwhile played in the Primavera on today, meaning Matteo Musacchio and Alessio Romagnoli will almost certainly be the centre-back pairing, while Mattia Gabbia will be on the bench.

On the right side Andrea Conti looks set to start, while Theo Hernandez is a certainty on the left.

In the midfield, Pioli will deploy Ismael Bennacer after his suspension, so Lucas Biglia will start from the bench. There is a battle meanwhile between Franck Kessie and Rade Krunic, with the Ivorian set to start. Hakan Calhanoglu is expected to start too given Paqueta’s injury.

In the attack, Krzysztof Piatek will still be favoured as the centre-forward over Rafael Leao , while Suso and Giacomo Bonaventura will flank the Pole.

Probable Milan XI (4-3-3): Donnarumma, Conti, Musacchio, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Kessie, Bennacer, Calhanoglu; Suso, Piatek, Bonaventura.
