MN: Milan’s probable XI to face Celtic – five changes from Fiorentina as Pioli opts for rotation

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli will return to the dugout after a three-game absence due to Coronavirus and is expected to rotate his starting XI for the visit of Celtic.

According to the latest from MilanNews, the Rossoneri will line up against the Scottish champions with Gianluigi Donnarumma in goal protected by a back four of Diogo Dalot (in for Davide Calabria), Simon Kjaer, Matteo Gabbia (in for Alessio Romagnoli) and Theo Hernandez.

Franck Kessie is expected to be joined by Rade Krunic in defensive midfield which will allow Ismael Bennacer and Sandro Tonali to have a rest.

There are still some question marks about the front four players, but at the moment it seems like the trio behind the centre-forward Ante Rebic will be Samu Castillejo on the right, Hakan Calhanoglu down the middle and Jens Petter Hauge on the left.

Brahim Diaz is battling for a start as the playmaker, while there is still a chance that Alexis Saelemaekers is picked over Castillejo.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): G. Donnarumma; Dalot, Kjaer, Gabbia, Theo Hernandez; Kessie, Krunic; Castillejo, Calhanoglu, Hauge; Rebic.
