MN: Milan’s probable XI to face Bologna – one selection dilemma for Pioli to ponder

By Oliver Fisher -

After winning the first competitive game of the season in Dublin against Shamrock Rovers, they will get their Serie A campaign underway on Monday.

MilanNews have named the Rossoneri’s probable XI for the game against Sinisa Mihajlovic’s side, with the knowledge that Stefano Pioli will be without Romagnoli, Conti, Musacchio and Leao.

Ante Rebic comes back after being suspended in midweek, meaning there is only one issue to be resolved for the Milan head coach: the battle between Castillejo and Saelemakers for the spot on the right wing.

From right to left, Pioli will call upon a defence of Calabria, Gabbia, Kjaer and Theo Hernandez. In midfield, the untouchable duo of Bennacer and Kessiè will once again be deployed.

Calhanoglu and Ibrahimovic will be the attacking midfielder and striker respectively, with Castillejo and Saelemaekers therefore fighting to start alongside those two and Ante Rebic to complete the attacking quartet.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): G. Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Gabbia, Theo; Kessie, Bennacer; Castillejo, Calhanoglu, Rebic; Ibrahimovic.
