MN: Milan’s strength down to an undeniable unity – several leaders and everybody contributing

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are showing their strength in depth and continue to demonstrate how several members of the squad can be depended upon – not just the star men.

As MilanNews note, Stefano Pioli has overseen the creation of a cohesive and competitive group and that continued on Thursday night in Scotland as the Rossoneri ran out 3-1 winners against Celtic.

The most indicative part of that was the fact that the three goals were scored by players who normally would not be in the starting line-up, with Rade Krunic and Jens Petter Hauge each scoring their first goals for the club and Brahim Diaz his second.

The unity of the team is clear to see and has been referenced by many players during recent weeks, and the fact is that Milan now have several leaders in the likes of Kessie, Ibrahimovic, Kjaer Romagnoli and Donnarumma.

Players like Ibrahimovic are the first to let the younger squad members know when they should do better, but are also the first to to run and congratulate them on a goal scored or an assist.

This feeling of positivity will be essential to overcome the dark moments of the season that will inevitably come.
