AC Milan forward Noah Okafor trained with the rest of the group at Milanello on Monday which means he could make a return against Newcastle on Wednesday night.
As has been reported by Milan News, the Swiss forward took an important step forward in his recovery by completing the entire session with the group.
This means there is a much greater chance that he will be called up for the squad that faces Newcastle in the final Champions League group stage match of the season.
There will be another training session on Tuesday so that is where we should get some confirmation about his condition.
Even if he cannot quite make it into the squad for the Newcastle match, he seems likely to be involved against Monza in Serie A at the weekend.
Okafor picked up his injury with the Swiss National Team during the recent international break and has not featured since.
