MN: Patience, unity and cohesiveness – Elliott’s project is beginning to bear fruit

By Oliver Fisher -

Some patience has been needed in order for their work to bear fruit, but we are finally starting to see Elliott Management’s project succeed.

As MilanNews notes, the American hedge fund have had a lot of criticism sent their way for certain things, in particular the CEO Ivan Gazidis regarding the uncertainty over the project and the idea that Elliott are only interested in building a new stadium and selling for a profit.

The current ownership have chosen to entrust a youth project which has seen talents such as Ismael Bennacer, Jens Petter Hauge, Alexis Saelemaekers and Sandro Tonali.

Geoffrey Moncada is the man who does the scouting, Ricky Massara the one who gives his opinion on negotiations and the decision-making of Paolo Maldini in closing the negotiations makes it a perfect team.

After so much doubt at the start of 2020, the management has become more unified and cohesive, and it must be said that the agreement to sign experienced players to compliment the younger players has been inspired too.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Simon Kjaer are among those who have helped bring a different mentality to Milanello and have helped to create a climate of harmony as well as competitiveness.

There are issues to tackle like Donnarumma and Calhanoglu’s respective renewals, but with calm and patience Milan now have a positive mood that they must exploit to put together something special.
