AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli is set to give the captain’s arm band to Samu Castillejo for the first time, according to a report.
Pioli is apparently getting ready to make big changes to his starting XI for Thursday night’s trip to face Sparta Praha at the Stadion Letna, with qualification for the knockout stages already in the bag.
All that needs to be resolved is whether Milan finish first or second in their group, but there is also another chance for certain players to prove that they belong firmly in Pioli’s plans, and Castillejo will start having scored three in his last four games.
According to what is being reported by MilanNews, not only will the Spaniard start but he will be handed the captaincy for the first time since he joined in summer 2018. He has made 79 appearances for the Rossoneri since arriving.
