MN: Pioli’s words are clear as Milan must reinforce squad ahead of next season

Milan are preparing for what will be their biggest season in a very long time, back in Champions League after what was a successful 2020/21. In fact, this is just the beginning of the journey the club wants to go on.

As highlighted by MilanNews, Stefano Pioli’s words on the future were very clear and must reflect the actions of the club: “My renewal isn’t the priority. With Maldini and Massara, above all, we will talk about how to improve the team”.

The manager, of course, is spot on as Milan now must reinforce the squad to better match the opponents they will take on. If this doesn’t happen, then the Rossoneri will take a step back in their project and this must be avoided.

After all, Milan are keen on not only replicating the 2020/21 season, but also improve it. These are two words that the directors must follow, as MilanNews continue, because it will be necessary to experience further success.

This past season, young players such as Fikayo Tomori, Pierre Kalulu and Brahim Diaz got the chance to shine. However, experienced players like Simon Kjaer and Zlatan Ibrahimovic did this as well.

In this sense, therefore, the rumoured signings Olivier Giroud, Rodrigo De Paul or even Amine Adli wouldn’t just raise the level of the team immediately. They would also improve the future strength of the Rossoneri project.
