MN: Probable Milan XI to face Crotone – one dilemma for Pioli left to resolve

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan host rock-bottom side Crotone at San Siro on Sunday knowing a win would see them keep top spot for another week.

Stefano Pioli will be without Simon Kjaer and Brahim Diaz as both have thigh problems that they picked up in last week’s cup defeat against Inter, while Matteo Gabbia isn’t quite ready yet either having just resumed group training after a problems with his knee ligaments.

According to MilanNews though, both Ismael Benancer and Hakan Calhanoglu are back and will start the game. The only real battle is between Rafael Leao and Ante Rebic for the left wing, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic will lead the attack.

Fikayo Tomori will be alongside Alessio Romagnoli in the heart of the defence, with Davide Calabria and Theo Hernandez on either side. In midfield, Bennacer will be accompanied by Franck Kessiè.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Calabria, Romagnoli, Tomori, Hernandez; Bennacer, Kessie’ Saelemaekers, Calhanoglu, Rebic/Leao; Ibrahimovic.
