MN: Probable Milan XI to face Inter – winger returns plus rotation in defence

By Oliver Fisher -

Only three days after the defeat against Atalanta, AC Milan have a chance to put things right with a derby win in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals.

MilanNews have some team news ahead of the game, confirming that Ciprian Tatarusanu will be in goal in place of the suspending Gianluigi Donnarumma. Alessio Romagnoli is back in defence after suspension alongside Simon Kjaer, while Pierre Kalulu will most likely not even be called up due an injury sustained against Atalanta. On the left there will still be Theo Hernandez, while on the right there will be rest for Calabria as Dalot will play.

Sandro Tonali also came out bruised from the game against La Dea and for this reason the midfield will have Kessie and the new signing Meite. Krunic will be on the bench, Bennacer is better but not ready to return yet.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will unquestionably be the centre-forward, especially because Mario Mandzukic is struggling with a slight ankle problem. Alexis Saelemaekers, Brahim Diaz and Rafael Leao will be the trident behind the Swede, with Hauge and Rebic on the bench ready to come on.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu; Dalot, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Theo; Meite, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Diaz, Leao; Ibrahimovic.
