MN: Probable Milan XI to face Sparta Praha – rest for Theo and Kessie as Celtic attack returns

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will be looking to turn the page after their dramatic and disappointing draw with Roma by making it two wins from two in the Europa League.

According to MilanNews, Stefano Pioli has changes in mind in virtually every single department as he looks to freshen up a side that looked tired at times against Roma and has another crucial game on Sunday.

Despite the mistake against the Giallorossi, Ciprian Tatarusanu keeps his spot as Gianluigi Donnarumma is recovering from Coronavirus. Calabria, Kjaer and Romagnoli will also take the field, but Theo Hernandez will rest for the first time this season with Diogo Dalot ready to replace him.

In front of the back four should be Bennacer and Tonali, with Kessie getting some well-earned rest. There has been talk of a possible rest period for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but the Swede should start and behind him the trio of Castillejo, Krunic and Brahim Diaz should return after they were used against Celtic.

The probable starting line-up is as follows…

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu; Calabria, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Dalot; Tonali, Bennacer; Castillejo, Krunic, Diaz; Ibrahimovic.
