After the win against Torino in midweek, Milan will be looking to continue their good form in Serie A by beating Hellas Verona at San Siro.
The door to the top four has creaked open slightly after Roma’s 4-2 defeat to Sassuolo on Saturday night, and over 55,000 fans are expected to watch a rejuvenated side under Stefano Pioli.
According to MilanNews.it, this is how the Rossoneri will line up…
Gianluigi Donnarumma will be in net, while Alessio Romagnoli partner Mateo Musacchio at centre-back, with the Argentine finally having returned to full fitness plus Simon Kjaer is suffering from flu. The full-backs will remain as Andrea Conti on the right and Theo Hernandez on the left.
Pioli faces some dilemmas in midfield as Ismael Bennacer is suspended, while Rade Krunic has a slight physical problem. In their place should be Hakan Calhanoglu and Franck Kessie. Samu Castillejo will start again on the right and Giacomo Bonaventura will be on the left. Alexis Saelemaekers will start on the bench but could make his debut.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be absent with flu, meaning Rafael Leao and Ante Rebic will get the nod up front. On the bench will be Daniel Maldini.
Probable Milan XI (4-4-2): Donnarumma; Conti, Musacchio, Romagnoli, Theo; Castillejo, Calhanoglu, Kessie, Bonaventura; Leao, Rebic.
Subs: A.Donnarumma, Begovic; Calabria, Gabbia, Laxalt; Brescianini, Paquetá, Saelemaekers; Maldini.
