MN: The quiet Bennacer passes another test of development – Milan have a €50m shield

AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer seems to be moving through the gears and is passing tests of his development with flying colours.

As Pietro Mazzara writes in his latest for MilanNews, Bennacer’s performance against Inter contained a great deal of ‘silent consistency’ and under the radar he managed to keep Marcelo Brozovic very quiet, and even Barella in certain moments.

It was yet another sign which confirms the constant and continuous evolution of the Algeria international, who joined for €16million from Empoli in the 2019 summer window and struggled at certain points with different parts of his game such as discipline and positions.

Today, he is a player that Milan cannot do without as he has formed a wonderful double pivot with Franck Kessie. The report adds that Bennacer is not very social despite the fact that out on the pitch he is a soldier: in his private life he moves with discretion with full professionalism.

Of course, he has a €50million release clause valid only for clubs from abroad and which dictates the amount must be paid in a single instalment, which acts as a shield for Milan as the 22-year-old continues to develop.
