MN: Who is likely to replace Ibrahimovic and Saelemaekers in Torino game

By Oliver Fisher -

With a trip to face Torino looming on Wednesday, Stefano Pioli and the Milan squad have little time to enjoy the win over Juventus.

After yesterday’s extraordinary victory in Turin, Milan will be back on the field in the same city on Wednesday against the Granata, who still need some points to secure survival for another season.

According to MilanNews, Zlatan Ibrahimovic will certainly be absent for the game will undergo an MRI tomorrow to find out the extent of the knee injury suffered in the match at the Allianz Stadium. There is a battle between Ante Rebic and Rafael Leao to replace him, but it was impossible to carry out tactical tests today because the training was not as intense.

In addition to the Swede, Alexis Saelemaekers will miss the game at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino due to disqualification, meaning Samu Castillejo should be in his place.

  1. Obvious choice is to play Rebic up top and put Castilejo in for Salesmaekers. Wouldn’t mind trying out Dalot on the RW as an option or play Mandzukic there as well?

Leao cannot play as an out-and-out striker.

    1. I support you Mr pioli should play Dalot as a right-wing ,instead of castilejo and also maintain the rest of the squad.

  2. The one that is more likely is Rebic and Castillejo. I would personally like to see Dalot or Hauge RM, Mandzukic ST and Rebic LM though.
