Ismael Bennacer’s decision to change agent is not necessarily something for AC Milan to be worried about, according to a journalist.
Pietro Mazzara spoke about the future of Bennacer in his column for MilanNews, stating that the decision of the midfielder to switch his representative to Enzo Raiola is ‘completely irrelevant’ in relation to the player’s will, because the agent does what his client wants.
He recalls how Pierre Kalulu changed attorneys and renewed his deal at the club. Bennacer ‘has always felt that he is worth as much as Theo Hernandez on an economic level’ as per Mazzara, so if he wanted that amount with Moussa Sissoko as his agent (who wanted to find him a new club), he will also ask for it with Enzo Raiola as his attorney.
Therefore, everything will boil down to how much Milan are willing to offer and whether they will appease the demands of the 25-year-old Algerian.
He and Theo are on the same level tbh. You can’t of course compare their statistics.
Naah, Theo might be the best on his position. At least in TOP3 in the whole world. Bennacer? Not in the TOP-10 even.
I like Bennacer & he definitely should get the 4-4.5 mil he is asking, but that just means that sooner than later, Theo will need a raise.
They should absolutely not be on the same economic level. Theo is a game changer, arguably the best in his position in Europe consistently over the last 3 years. There aren’t many, if any, full backs that can do what Theo does offensively and as of late defensively, too.
Bennacer, on the other hand, just became Milan starter 3 months ago, spent the previous 2 seasons being Kessie’s and Tonali’s backup, and sometimes even Krunic played ahead of him. He isn’t the best in his position in serie A or even in the city of Milano.
Way easier to replace Bennacer than Theo.
Both are important players for Milan but there are levels to this thing and Theo is couple levels above Bennacer
I agree and even a club lol Milan must understand you can’t keep everyone. That said if it comes down to it. I think it’s better value to pay Bennacer than let him walk for free. I think tabling an offer of 4.5 is fair and if he doesn’t take it by March start accepting bids.
