It is well known that Luka Modric will make a decision on his AC Milan future shortly, but it is dependent on Croatia’s near future.
Last night, Modric added another assist to his collection as Croatia advanced to the World Cup Round of 32. As a result, he will have at least another few days to deliberate on his future before meeting with Milan to discuss the potential extension of his contract.

Matteo Moretto reported that he had made a decision effectively, but the failure to achieve a Champions League spot for next season made him reconsider slightly.
Now, the Rossoneri are waiting, hoping that he will opt to stay with them for another year.
Modric staying at Milan?
In the mixed zone after the game – where the media stay and players from both teams pass through – Modric was asked about his future by SportItalia, as MilanNews, relays. He did not answer, though.
Instead, he just gave a smile and a thumbs up…
