ML: Moncada meets agent Yvan Le Mee – three clients potentially of interest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan chief scout Geoffrey Moncada held a meeting with Yvan Le Mee at Casa Milan this afternoon, and while the purpose of it is currently unknown he has some interesting clients.

MilanLive report that the meeting began around 17:00 CEST and lasted for around an hour and a half, with Moncada meeting his compatriot and possibly discussing a number of young talents that he represents.

On the list of clients is Michel Adopo, the 23-year-old Frenchman who scored the goal in extra-time for Torino to knock the Rossoneri out of the Coppa Italia this season. Le Mee speaks highly of Adopo and hoped he would get more playing time than he has under Ivan Juric.

Another potential player of interest is Hamza Rafia, a French-Tunisian attacking midfielder who is currently Juventus after they signed him from Lyon in 2019. Juve thought they had quite a coup at the time, but a series of loan spells mean that at the age of 23 he has fallen by the wayside.

Finally there is Ange-Yoan Bonny, a 19-year-old striker currently playing for Parma in Serie B, a club with which Milan have excellent relations. He is a regular for them having played just four Primavera games before being deemed ready for the senior side, and he also netted 5 goals in 7 games for France U19 before being bumped up to U20s.

  1. Basicly bunch of nobodies. I thought Moncada was one of the best scouts. I was exited when he came in Milan, but so far his work has been below average really. Napoli and Atlanta scouts keep finding gems for 10-15 mil from around the world while we are stuck with scouting nobodies from France.

    1. Moncada is one of the best and he has done an excellent job of finding great talents for 5,10,15 mil.
The difference between Milan and the other 2 teams you mentioned is that they actually have sporting directors that can negotiate and close the deals, Milan doesn’t have that

    2. Monanda begged us to sign Enzo Fernandez the summer before the world cup fpr 8-9 mil. Instead we kept waiting for injury prone Renato Sanchez.

He had everything set up for a 11m transfer for Julian Alvarez last summer as well. Yet we decided to spend MORE (including wages on Origi).

Last but not least, he insisted again and again to sign Botman… Once again, we couldn’t make the investment even after winning the Scudetto. Guess who is the F***ing BEST CB in the while Premier League this season…

      Do you need more examples?

    3. All of Moncada’s picks so far have been golden. The problem is that we don’t have the money to spend on them or we went for a different profile which in hindsight turned out badly. This is not a reflection on Moncada by any means
