CM: Moncada watches Saint-Etienne playmaker Aouchiche first hand – the situation

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan chief scout Geoffrey Moncada has set his sights on playmaker Adil Aouchiche of Saint-Etienne, according to a report.

According to Calciomercato.com, the transfer of ownership from Elliott Management to RedBird Capital will not change much regarding Milan’s mercato strategy as the management will remain faithful to their approach of trying to find young talent worth investing in.

Adil Aouchiche is a player that Rossoneri scouts have had their eye on for some time and Geoffrey Moncada is at the Toulon Tournament to watch him in action, which is an U20s competition. Aouchiche scored during a 6-2 rout of Argentina on Saturday in what is a showcase for the talents of the future.

The 20-year-old ended the season with 40 appearances and 5 assists to his name but his side suffered relegation to Ligue 2. Aouchiche wants to feel like a protagonist wherever he plays which is why he left Paris Saint-Germain despite the Zidane comparisons while there.

Whoever makes a move for him therefore will have to guarantee him a serious project and room to grow and improve, which Milan have offered to other players previous.

    1. Not even for the future, he is better than Diaz, he would be first choice at Milan even last season as we really don’t have players for AMC.

  1. His an ok talent, but Bordeaux Sekou Mara looks like a more exiting talent in my opinion, another player that Moncada looked at.

  2. There are way more interesting players in France. But of course, you have to invest. Yet, it seems RedBird = Elliott.
