Vincenzo Montella spoke to Premium Sport after his side’s defeat at home to Juventus. Here’s what he had to say.
On the match: “It was an odd match, Higuain was the difference with two great goals. For me the team played well, then we were a bit tired. In the end, their attackers were better.”
On the big games: “In the four big challenges, apart from 15 minutes against Lazio, we have always played at least equal. However, we must be more resolute and clinical.”
On the defence: “Today we had a good shape on both goals, but Higuain made the difference. You have to take the skill of your opponents into consideration.”
On the attack: “We came close to scoring several times. There aren’t many strikers of the same quality as Higuain.”
On the situation: “We have to react immediately and think about winning on Thursday against AEK Athens.”
