Morata ready to get going at Milan: “One of the best clubs in the world” – video

Alvaro Morata’s long-awaited landing in Italy happened tonight, and he gave his first words to the club’s official media channels ahead of his AC Milan presentation tomorrow.

Morata landed in Milano at Linate airport, together with his entire family, and is ready to begin his new adventure in red and black. The Spanish centre forward, who has chosen the number 7 shirt, is expected at Milanello together with his teammates on Saturday.

In a post on their Instagram, Milan shared a video where Morata said a few words after his arrival in Italy following his post-Euros vacation.

“Ciao Milanisti, I am very happy to be here and to begin this new adventure. I can’t wait to wear the shirt and see you all,” he said.

“Since I signed I understood that the club has a different pedigree, everyone who works here says so. Milan is one of the best clubs in the world and I understood it even before arriving.”

  1. Not my man but his recent record is not the worst. Keep up your last season goal tally with Atletico and trophy lifting with Spain national team. Good luck mate.

  2. Who Cares if most of you are not Morata fans? Have always noticed this platform severally ( Years,Months) all we shared Hatred, False allegations, when We signed Zlatan, Giroud same things occurred too.So am not surprised. My Expectation is High towards upcoming Season for the Achievement of both Milan,Fonesca,Morata and entire squad. ( N/B: I BELIEVE 90 PERCENT OF YOU GUYS ,WILL NEVER NE HAPPY, IF YOUR OFFICES,COMPANIES OR ORGANISATIONS EMPLOY NEW WORKERS,OLD WITH EXPERIENCE, YOU WILL ALWAYS CONDEMNED THEM.) FORZA MILANO! FORZA AZZURRI!! FORZA ZLATAN!!!

    1. Why you prefer people to be fake a cheer for something they don’t rly agree with? People are very emotional connected to the club, the reactions are out of love not hate. And to be 100% honest I’d be super happy with Zirkzee and Fofana, but Morata is a player I have never been impressed by, a player in my opinion have flopped everywhere he went. He is a very different player to Zlatan and Giroud, both of which could rely on their strenght and holdup play.

  3. Man U signed Zirkzee, to pay in instalments for 3 years.

I wish we could sign Osimhen 80-90m to pay in 2-3 years. Would be serious statement by the management.

Or Gyökeres 70-80m for 2-3 years would also have been great.

We need some creativity I guess.

I’m indifferent about the Morata deal, he has a lazy way of playing which can be annoying, but not withstanding, he finds a way to score goals.

And Chiesa: JUST SIGN HIM ASAP. WE WILL FIGURE HIM OUT LATER.

Fofona? Why haven’t we signed him yet??

    1. everything is paid in amortisation brah. nobody cashes out the amounts you see in the news…

and for chiesa, sure we can sign him. just fork up his salary each season.6M net will cost you abot 12M gross…

      1. Amortisation, Instalments!
        Hotel, Motel!
        What’s the difference brah?

        “everything is paid in amortisation”
No one pays in amortisation brah.
Amortisation is an accounting technique to always know the book value of a player and determine the mark-up.

So, regardless, whether a player is paid for in full or in instalments, in the financial statements, it is always prepared in amortised figures spreading across the length of the players contract.
        Understand Matching Concept?
Understand Accrual Concept? There you have it.

As for Chiesa, his salary would be around Morata’s and I believe, with good negotiation, he will lower his pay, especially the base, and the rest can be added in performance based bonuses.

Look buddy, negotiation is all about creativity.
I mean, I’m happy we didn’t get Zirkzee in the end but, let’s talk negotiation.
We lingered on that deal because Kia demanded 15m. But Man U instead of settling a bad trend for Agents to demand more commission, preferred to pay Kia 10m and incorporate 5m into Zirkzee’s salary. That’s creativity I’m talking about (even though I would have preferred they added that 5m as performance based bonuses).

But it is what it is.
I’m just an accountant who is a die hard Rossonero!
        As always #MilanTillTheFvckingCasket!

        1. And please, this is by no means a jibe at the current management, as a matter of fact, I think they are making some smart moves.

Be it Maldini, Zlatan or heck, even Me, as long as we love the club and learn the ropes, we will deliver in our roles.
I mean, we all bleed Red and Black at the end of the day.

          1. Exactly the difference between Amortisation and Instalments.

            One is a payment structure.
The other is an accounting treatment technique.

            Hotel.
            Motel.
Both offer accommodation and hospitality at the end of the day.

  4. By the time Morata’s contract is up, he’ll be juuuust as old as Giroud when we bought him from Chelsea.
Haters gonna hate. Giroud’s 4 seasons before arriving net him 8, 2, 6 & 4 goals. The players of Milan helped him score 11, 13 and 15 goals these past 3 seasons.

Welcome Morata. May your consistent 10+ goals a season over the past 8 years be boosted by assists from Puli, Rafa and the rest of the team.

  5. Always a hard worker, a clever player, hopefully he can help Leao, Chukwueze and Pulisic be the best versions of themselves.
