AC Milan appear to be serious in their attempts to sign Lazar Samardzic as talks were held yesterday over the margins to make a deal happen, a journalist has claimed.
Matteo Moretto of Relevo has provided an update on the ‘Milan-Samardzic theme’. He claims that there were ‘direct talks between the parties’ to study the conditions of the deal yesterday.
Not only that, but he adds that the Rossoneri management have started concrete dialogue with the father of the Udinese midfielder, who is also his agent and therefore looks after his interests.
This is long-standing interest from Milan, because it was widely reported that they were keen on signing the 22-year-old back when he was with Hertha BSC and had barely broken into the first team, but he ended up joining RB Leipzig and then Udinese.
A source close to the negotiation confirmed to SempreMilan during the 2023 recent summer window that there was ‘interest from Milan’ and that there had been ‘some talks’, but nothing ever materialised and a move to Inter also collapsed.
Now, however, it seems that the time has come to move on for the Serbia international, who racked up eight goal contributions in 34 Serie A games last season for the Friulians.
Serious means that we’ll offer 5 mil. 😂
Imagine this month ends with us having Samardzic (as Adli upgrade, before I thought Adli would stay but Morata taking N7 is a bit sus…), Fofana, Morata, Pavlovic… I hope we keep Maldini and sell Pobega instead, Maldini showed great potential and has quite an accuracy from outside of the box
Think its more likely they sell Adli since it seems 50/50 between him and Pobega and Pobega counts as a homegrown player?
But yeah, if we sign Fofana, Pavlovic and Fullkrug on top of Morata, then sell Adli and keep Maldini for the omf position in a possible 4-2-3-1, I would concider this a very good mercato.

Too many AMs/wingers if we keep Maldini. We’d have Leao, Okafor, Maldini, Puli, Chuk, RLC and possibly Reijnders (moving higher up) for the three positions supporting the striker.
Leao and Okafor are seen as left wingers, Pulisic and Chuckwueze as right wingers, 2 on each position. Only AM we have right now is Loftus-Cheek. Reijnders is more of a mezzala in a 4-3-3.
IF Samardzic is signed he can play AM, else we probably need Maldini to stay. But if Samardzic comes I can see Maldini leaving on loan and Adli being sold.
