It seems to be renewal season at AC Milan currently, and Fikayo Tomori could well be the next to put pen to paper on a new deal.
Tomori had been inconsistent since the 2021-22 Scudetto-winning campaign, but under Massimiliano Allegri he has found himself a key pillar of the three-man defence, and his performances have benefitted from it.

There has been talk for weeks about the possibility of Tomori getting a contract extension, with his current deal set to expire at the end of next season. MilanNews even reported that the signatures are ‘one step away’, suggesting that discussions between the parties are advanced.
Tomori’s renewal: News expected
During his daily video update on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, Matteo Moretto took stock of the developments at Milan, focusing in particular on the issue of Tomori’s renewal.
“Regarding Milan and a central defender, we’ve already discussed him extensively, it’s a name the Rossoneri club is trying to renew. His contract expires in 2027. I’ve already told you how the parties were already at an advanced stage of discussions and negotiations,” he said.
“Discussions are underway regarding the final salary figure and the final length of the new contract. But Milan are certainly doing everything possible to secure signatures. The club wants to try to finalise this renewal.
“Tomori is very happy at Milan and wants to continue his experience at Milan and in Milano. This is a snapshot of Tomori’s situation, and we expect significant developments in the coming weeks that could lead to a signature.”
He’s the weakest defender. De Winter is now more reliable. The renewal is fine, but he shouldn’t be a guaranteed starter anymore.

Good renewal, but if the club has any ambitions next season, Tomori can’t be anything more that a rotation player. He’s just not good enough. Not defensively and not with his feet either.
Too error prone, cash out on him right now and move on, his best days are behind right now. A renewal is a waste of funds and valuable squad space.

De Winter has the makings of a great defender. He shows it already but I fear Milan will let him go in the near future for a hefty fee. Much prefer if Tomori was offloaded after renewal but we will see.
The only thing keeping Tomori here is his recovery speed. I’m pretty sure he’s the fastest of our bunch…
