Christian Pulisic’s importance to AC Milan is very easy to see. However, he is not just topping charts in Italy, but in Europe.

Since joining Milan, the American has only been on an upward path, and he is showing no signs of slowing down in his second season at the club, much to the delight of the Rossoneri faithful. Today, Gazzetta dello Sport has taken a look at his numbers from the past year.

At present, the winger has contributed in 78% of the Diavolo’s games this season, and there is a massive gap between himself and others – Mo Salah of Liverpool has only reached 73%, whereas Robert Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal just reach 70%.

Already he has shown an improvement on last season’s performances, scoring seven goals already – he hit 15 across the league and Champions League last year – and with four assists, he is on track for another fantastic season.

Behind the scenes, he is not a leader, but on the pitch, his consistency and intelligence make him a leader in so many other ways. Because of this, Gazzetta labels him a ‘chess player’ due his ability to read situations so well.

In terms of actual contributions, the American still sits among the top 10 best in Europe’s top divisions – bettered by Olise, Raphinha, Vinicius, Barcola and Gakpo. There, he sits on 0.67 G/A per 90, better than Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.

    1. I don’t see us gaining success this season honestly, way I see it he will be vital for a top 4 finish. UCL we won’t go anywhere, Copa Italia is a possibility

  1. I’m impressed that he’s able to keep it up, if not do better this season. I can only hope he keeps that form for the whole season. That would be amazing 🤩
