Mundo Deportivo: Barcelona reject offer from West Ham for defender who is pushing for Milan move

AC Milan face a transfer battle with West Ham United to land Junior Firpo who has been identified as a left-back target, a report claims.

Today’s edition of Mundo Deportivo (via MilanNews) writes that Barcelona have received an offer from Premier League side West Ham for the permanent purchase of Firpo. The full-back, however, would prefer a move to Milan.

Despite this, Barcelona are reluctant to let the Spaniard leave on loan even though the Rossoneri have identified him as the ideal deputy to Theo Hernandez. The Catalant side would prefer to sell him outright, but from Milan the only offer to the Blaugrana will be a loan formula.

It remains to be seen whether or not the will of the player will prevail in this situation, while it must be said Milan have the added advantage of being able to offer Champions League football in 2021-22 after finishing second.
