AC Milan have not given up on the idea of signing Marco Asensio and they could swoop to get him on a free transfer, a report claims.
According to today’s edition of Mundo Deportivo (via PianetaMilan), Marco Asensio’s experience with Real Madrid seems destined to come to an end once the current campaign is over.
The Spanish source confirms that – unless there are twists and turns in the months ahead – the playmaker will leave Los Blancos at the end of the season or when the deadline arrives, thus meaning he would be free to sign with another club.
Among the many European teams that have focused their gaze on Asensio future are Barcelona, who are looking into what would be a shock signing given the rivalry between them and Real Madrid.
However, the report adds that there are two Italian teams in the running in Juventus and Milan, who have already been tracking Asensio for several seasons and have tried to persuade Florentino Perez to sell.
