Yunus Musah may not have been a standout in his first AC Milan season, but the midfielder is happier than ever. Playing alongside his compatriot Christian Pulisic, the youngster is keen on proving himself next season.
The midfielder joined Milan in August of 2023, following extensive talks with Valencia, and thus teamed up with his compatriot Pulisic. The latter had joined the Rossoneri a few weeks earlier, hoping to revitalise his career after a very tough season.

Aside from what happened on the pitch, though, there is no doubt that both of these transfers increased Milan’s popularity in the United States. A commercial smash-hit, with betting sites in the USA always featuring AC Milan on their platforms.
The club could become even more popular soon, too, as Musah’s performances weren’t necessarily anything to write home about just yet. For now, though, the midfielder is revelling in the moment and soaking up every second of his Rossoneri tenure.
He was asked about his first season with the team recently, and he started by saying that he’s been thrilled about getting a front-row seat to Pulisic’s first season with the team.
“I’m really very happy with how I see Christian playing at the moment. He’s scoring a lot of goals, influencing our team’s game a lot. I would say he was our best striker this season at Milan, so I’m really happy for him. He’s doing so well. I see he’s enjoying himself too and maybe he’s having one of his best seasons.”
Musah also talked about how he’s helped Pulisic to fine-tune his Italian: “Whenever I could help him with the language, I did, and he’s learning. He’s working a lot on his Italian and has managed to learn a lot. Now he really understands the coach and his teammates.”
Outside of discussing Pulisic, Musah had nothing but nice things to say about how things have gone for him personally during his brief time with Milan: “I’m really happy with how my first season is going in such a big team like Milan. I managed to play a lot of games at the beginning, in the Champions League against some big teams.”
But Musah also suggested he’s ready to step up and play an even bigger role with AC Milan whenever he gets the opportunity to do it: “We have a lot of talented players in the middle of the pitch, so there is a lot of competition. We can all start from the beginning, so it’s difficult for the coach to choose who will play. I’m ready whenever my moment comes.”
Milan’s 2023-24 season may have ended on a little bit of a low note, due to the derby defeat and the Europa League exit. However, with both Pulisic and Musah suiting up for AC Milan for the foreseeable future, the future looks bright for the team.
