A new name has emerged in AC Milan’s search for attacking reinforcements as Allan Saint-Maximin is reportedly a target.
According to TMW, the name of Saint-Maximin has once again come back into fashion for Milan. He is a winger that they have often followed in the past and by the admission of the player himself, the Rossoneri were really close to signing him in January 2019.
The Frenchman is in his fourth season with Newcastle United and the current campaign has been more difficult than others following a series of injuries that knocked him out for two months. Due to those injury problems, he seems to have lost his place to Joelinton and Miguel Almiron on either wing.
Saint-Maximin is an aggressive winger who likes to try and beat his man and is not afraid to shoot from distance, not unlike what the Rossoneri have with Rafael Leao.
He cost €18m in 2019, but Saint-Maximin still has a contract with Newcastle until 2026 and Transfermarkt have his valuation at €40m considering his age, numbers and remaining years of his contract. Newcastle do not need to sell, but Milan could try.
LOL. Milan and their fixation on injury-plagued players.
Hmm
He is good, but like every other player we “admire” made of glass. He also preferes same position as Leao, so him coming to Milan to be Leao’s backup is very unlikely.
Or maybe, negotiations with Leao are not going as expected and we are looking for a replacement, in which case after few crippling initial injuries and 6 months to a year recovery from a knee surgery, he would be kinda okay in that position.
Very very good player but I doubt brokebird are gonna put money
LMAO. Ya like we have the $$ lol. These stories are all the same – we are supposedly chasing players we could have once had for a fraction of the price… – who is next? Fofana? Konè? Kolo Muani? etc…enough w this BS
