After the official announcement this morning, Christopher Nkunku spoke briefly about his move to AC Milan and his connections.
There will be a longer interview conducted later today, imaginably; however, Nkunku has said a few things already about his move to Milan. The deal came about rather quickly, with the Frenchman linked and signed within 14 hours.

Nkunku’s first statements
The midfielder has already spoken to MilanTV, which MilanNews relays this afternoon, with Nkunku looking at the move itself, expressing how excited he was to get going, as well as looking at his relationship with Mike Maignan.
On Milan and the project…
“Happy with this new adventure and enthusiastic about wearing the Rossoneri shirt, I’ve gotten involved in this project, and I’ll give everything for these colours.”
Friendship with Maignan…
“I’ve known him for many years, we corresponded, and he was very happy for me when he heard I was coming to Milan. We’re two similar guys, with a competitive nature, he’s a great friend, and I’m happy to have him back here.”
On his personal Instagram, the Frenchman stated the following.
“Proud and excited to start this new chapter with such a prestigious and historic club, AC Milan. I can’t wait to wear the Rossoneri colours and feel the San Siro energy. Forza Milan!”
The club have also posted a short reel, which can be seen below.
“Ciao Rossoneri, I am very happy to be here. I am excited to come to San Siro and see you and start with the team. Forza Milan.”

So Boniface is injury prone to Nkunku most healthy player? Am tired of this team.
you dont seem to understand . we have no leao deputy , with jiminez and okafor gone , this guy can play striker , am , lw , rw , sure his not effective as much in other positions , but boniface can only do the striker role , and whilst we have a 35 m euro striker up there , not very good rn , he is less injury prone . 2 fcked up acls or whatever it was . we already have a big hospital room with players at the start of the sesaon , we dont want to pay his salary –also we would have to be reliant on him for striker role! what if he gets injured? nkunku can be replaced
So then it begs the question why sell Okafor and seemingly offload Jiminez as well. To get an injury prone 40m player. We were taken to the cleaners, let be honest and that’s poor judgment imo
Okafor was injury prone and an offer too good to give up on came in and he isnt irreplaceable with someone more effective. I mean come on.
Okafor had an awful last season and Nkunku is miles better than him?

omg a level headed opinion about why Nkunku makes more sense than boniface.
I still think both of them are risky but at least you get a more multi positional player in Nkunku. I mean the trade off between the two risky options make sense. But the fee is enormous and he is now the highest transfer the club has paid for a player in a long time.
Jashari fee is about the same. Nkunku is obviously doing better than Boniface since that guy couldn’t pass his medical.
Mertens has been utilised in Serie A as a CF to a great success. Flanked by a “midget” Insigne and Callejon, they formed the deadliest attack in Serie A that time.
Leao and Pulisic are lot more physical then them. Plus he can be used as a wildcard in any of the positions. His ball control in tight areas is exactly what we lacked against those low blocks when it’s 0-0 and 85th minute.
I think he can be very useful. Not sure why everyone is so pessimistic about this.

Nkunku fully passed hs medical and doesn’t have the same issues as Boniface. I’m still sad Boniface didn’t join us, but that’s just how things go. Nkunku didn’t have a ligament tear.
Nkunku can play various roles, including as forward, second striker, etc and I’m sure Allegri will find a use for him.
Did he gain weight?
