Norwegian journalist reports Milan have interest in €22m RB Leipzig striker

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are interested in signing striker Alexander Sorloth on a season-long loan from RB Leipzig, according to one journalist.

There continues to be an abundance of speculation suggesting that Milan are in the market for a young third striker who can work under Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, though it seems it will not be Kaio Jorge of Santos.

According to Norwegian journalist Andreas Korssund, Milan want Alexander Sørloth on loan for the 2021-22 season. So far, the Rossoneri management have not opened any negotiations with RB Leipzig, but interest is there.

Sorloth seems more likely to leave the Bundesliga side after they signed Brian Brobbey from Ajax and André Silva from Eintracht Frankfurt for their centre-forward department this summer.

The 25-year-old Sorloth found the net 5 times in 29 Bundesliga appearances last season following a move from Crystal Palace last summer worth a potential €22m (via Wikipedia), which came after he had netted 24 goals in 34 games at Trabzonspor on loan in 2019-20.

  1. I’d much rather bring Sabitzer from Leipzig because we badly need a CAM. Brahim is good but too naive. If Ziyech comes then ok otherwise bring Sabitzer first.

  2. This player would definitely be deemed surplus to requirement. Milan should focus on Ziyech, Isco or Damsgaard

    1. Ziyech would be my choice but Chelsea won’t give him up too easily, and if that’s the case the Sabitzer would be massive for ACM in ability experience and skill
Maldini and Massara should just do the deal
      Good luck ACM

  3. Lucky if they pull that off. He’s played completely out of position at Leipzig. In the national team he is outperforming that other striker Norway’s got….what was his name again? Ah, yes, Erling Haaland.
