This afternoon, Milan Futuro grabbed three big points on the road against AC Leon, thanks to three goals inside the first 10 minutes of the second half.
It seemed like it may be one of those games for the Futuro this afternoon, with the first half ending goalless. However, Massimo Oddo’s side turned it on at the start of the second period, leaving nothing to chance.
Emanuele Sala opened the scoring, whilst goals from Mattia Cappelletti and Levis Asanji rounded off the scoring for Milan and the game itself, as the Rossoneri ran out 3-0 victors. Certainly not the game to return late to your seats!
Oddo reviews Leon-Milan Futuro
Speaking after the game, Oddo praised his team heavily for the performance, going back to the fact that his side are still very young. The hope will now be to continue this dominance on, and he spoke to MilanTV at full-time, via MilanNews.
“A balanced match against a team that has an idea of the game, it also put us in difficulty, especially in the first half. We were more cynical than them, we came back with a right conviction in the second. We closed the game almost immediately, but the guys were good.”

On the growth path of the boys…
“We are halfway through, so we still have many months ahead of us to improve. Compared to the other teams, we are super young; we started with zero experience, so we have ample room for improvement.
“Game after game, training after training, we are putting everything we need on this path.”
How difficult it is to make you understand having to face certain players, fields…
“You acquire it by playing. Words count for little; I can warn them, but they experience it on the ground. Through this experience, you make mistakes, you play games in which you don’t understand the race, and slowly, they have to put this in.
“We played several games, we improved and we will continue to do so until the end.”

4th in the table, 4 points off top. So you’re saying a real coach was what was needed all this time? Who would’ve thought 🤔
I mean…that is the first requirement in player development, adequate, reliable, structured coaching…
We seem to have people convinced that they could reinvent the wheel and want to fit square pegs in round wholes….maybe…just maybe…someone is talking some sense into them…
Should’ve kept Abate.
Real Coaches do wonders.
Ibra was wrong to fire Ignazio and his dad.
Worse yet, to hire Lord Bonerror who had zero coaching experience.
