Official: Celtic vs. Milan starting XIs – debut for Dalot as Pioli makes changes

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli has named a number of changes from the XI that beat Inter in the derby for Thursday’s clash with Celtic.

Pioli has entrusted Dalot with the right-back spot for the game in Glasgow, as the Portuguese will join Kjaer, Romagnoli and Theo Hernandez in making up the rest of the back four in front of Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Sandro Tonali and Franck Kessie will be the deep-lying midfielders with Samu Castillejo on the right wing and Brahim Diaz replacing the injured Hakan Calhanoglu as the playmaker.

Interestingly, the attacking trident is completed by the presence of Rade Krunic as a left winger, a position he has often played for Bosnia. Zlatan Ibrahimovic keeps his spot up front as was expected.

Official Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Dalot, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Tonali, Kessie; Castillejo, Brahim Diaz, Krunic; Ibrahimovic.

Official Celtic XI (3-4-1-2): Barkas; Welsh, Duffy, Ajer; Frimpong, Ntcham, Brown, McGregor; Laxalt; Ajeti, Griffiths
