The date and time for AC Milan’s final away match of the season has finally been officially confirmed by Lega Serie A.
There was a lot of doubt surrounding when the penultimate round of the 2025-26 season would be played. The league like the final two rounds to be played simultaneously if teams are still battling for position, to ensure a kind of competitive fairness.

Sunday early kick-off confirmed
However, the issue with round 37 of this campaign is that it will see Roma take on Lazio in the derby, a fixture in which there are naturally a lot of safety concerns and public order guidelines that need to be adhered to. So, the league’s solution is simple: play all the relevant games in the early slot.
Another complication is the Italian Open tennis final also at the Foro Italico this weekend. So, as the official website has confirmed this morning, Genoa vs. AC Milan will be played on Sunday 17 May at 12:30 CEST.
Roma vs. Lazio, Como vs. Parma, Juventus vs. Fiorentina and Pisa vs. Napoli will all kick off on Sunday at the same time. If Napoli had won last night against Bologna to secure a top four finish their game would have been moved, but they lost 3-2.
As a reminder, Milan must win both of their last two games to secure a spot in the Champions League. After a run of two wins in eight games, though, this is a lot easier said than done.

Stacked against us. Our early kick off record is bad, we have several players suspended, mentally low. At least we play at the same time as Roma, Como, Juventus, and Napoli, so the “pressure” of other results won’t be there. Regardless very low hope for these remaining 2 games
It’s not stacked against us if we all start playing at the same time, come on, we are not the only club (team) in the league they should and need to think of. Why would they even bother if Milan has a bad (early kick-off) record, that’s something we should deal with stricktly within our own club, that’s our problem (and frankly, our disgrace along with more than a horrible score at the home ground) and it should not (and will not ever for that matter) interest them whatsoever.
The scheduling is a joke, just like the rest of the league management. a 12:30 away game? Might as well chalk that as a loss. I don’t recall Milan having won any early games this season.
“Milan must win both of their final two games to qualify”
Not true. It depends on what other teams do. If the chasers(Roma and Como) lose then Milan could simply draw one and lose one. If Roma wins one then Milan could win one and draw one. There are other possibilities.
