Official: Inter vs. Milan starting XIs – Pioli makes five changes from Atalanta defeat

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli has made a number of changes to his starting XI for the Coppa Italia clash against Inter compared to Saturday’s game against Atalanta.

Milan will be without six key players for the game, as Gianluigi Donnarumma will be suspended, while Matteo Gabbia, Ismael Bennacer, Hakan Calhanoglu (COVID-19), Mario Mandzukic and Sandro Tonali will all miss the game.

Pioli has fielded a 4-2-3-1 as expected, and with Donnarumma disqualified, Ciprian Tatarusanu will be in goal. Diogo Dalot will play right-back with Kjaer and the returning Romagnoli the centre-backs and Theo Hernandez on the left.

In the midfield will be Soualiho Meite as Franck Kessie’s partner, with Alexis Saelemaekers, Brahim Diaz and Rafael Leao the trio behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Official Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu; Dalot, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Theo; Meite, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Diaz, Leao; Ibrahimovic.

Bench: A. Donnarumma, Jungdal, Calabria, Kalulu, Tomori, Castillejo, Hauge, Krunic, Maldini, Rebic.

Official Inter XI (3-5-2): Handanovic; Skriniar, De Vrij, Kolarov; Darmian, Barella, Brozovic, Vidal, Perisic; Lukaku, Sanchez.
