Lega Serie A have named AC Milan’s Mike Maignan as the best goalkeeper of the 2021-22 season in their end of season awards.

The Frenchman arrived last summer from Lille to replace Gianluigi Donnarumma (who was the goalkeeper of the year for Milan in 2020-21) and he has started 31 games in the league this season, keeping an impressive 16 clean sheets including 8 in the last 10 games, helping guide Milan towards a potential Scudetto if they win or draw against Sassuolo on Sunday.
