Official: Milan appointed Head of Sponsorship Sales – his role explained

AC Milan have announced a new Head of Sponsorship Sales as they have appointed Maikel Oettle to the newly-created role.

The news was conveyed via the Rossoneri’s official website, with the club confirming that Friday November 1 will be Oettle’s first day on the job.

Oettle previously held roles at IMG, Draftkings, DFL Sports Enterprises and Bwin – who are a former partner and shirt sponsor of Milan.

A statement on the official website reads: ‘The appointment of Maikel is in line with the Club’s strategic goal of increasing sales and increasing revenue through all of AC Milan’s commercial divisions.’

Casper Stylsvig, Chief Revenue Officer, said: “We are pleased to welcome Maikel. He has an excellent ability to finalise innovative business partnerships for both brands and rights holders.

“Experience, expertise and Maikel’s vast international network will be fundamental in bringing our partnership offer to a higher level.”
