Official: Milan vs. Celtic starting XIs – five changes made from victory over Fiorentina

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli has made a number of changes from the side that beat Fiorentina for tonight’s game against Celtic.

Diogo Dalot will come into the line-up at right-back to allow Davide Calabria to rest, and Matteo Gabbia will also get a start but in place of Alessio Romagnoli and not Simon Kjaer. Theo Hernandez will be at left-back.

Pioli will field Rade Krunic as a defensive midfielder alongside Franck Kessie – a different role entirely to the one he played at Celtic Park and a choice dictated by the need to give Sandro Tonali and Ismael Bennacer some rest.

Jens Petter Hauge will be the starting left winger, completing the trio behind Ante Rebic along with Hakan Calhanoglu and the returning Samu Castillejo, meaning Saelemaekers and Brahim Diaz start from the bench.

Official Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Dalot, Kjaer, Gabbia, Theo Hernandez; Kessié, Krunic; Castillejo, Calhanoglu, Hauge; Rebic.

Bench: Tatarusanu, A. Donnarumma, Calabria, Bennacer, Tonali, Romagnoli, Kalulu, Diaz, Maldini, Colombo, Duarte, Saelemaekers.

Official Celtic XI (4-2-3-1): Barkas; Elhamed, Bitton, Ajer, Laxalt; McGregor, Brown; Christie, Rogic, Frimpong; Edouard.

Bench: Bain, Hazard, Jullien, Taylor, Al. Ajeti, Kimala, Soro, Ntcham, Henderson, Welsh.
