Official: Pioli names 23-man squad for trip to Lecce – Return of crucial duo confirmed

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has named the 23 players called up for Monday’s trip to face Lecce.

Samu Castillejo and Theo Hernandez will return to the pitch after serving their respective suspension last time out. The duo has been very important for Pioli’s side since the start of the year and it will certainly be a boost to have them back.

However, Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be missing again – this time due to a calf injury – while Leo Duarte and Mateo Musacchio have both not been called up as the Milan boss confirmed that the latter has likely played his last game of the season.

Here is the squad that Pioli has named for the game, as confirmed by the club’s official website…

Begovic, A. Donnarumma, G. Donnarumma.

DEFENDERS
Calabria, Conti, Gabbia, Kjaer, Hernandez, Laxalt, Romagnoli.

MIDFIELDERS
Bennacer, Biglia, Bonaventura, Calhanoglu, Kessie, Krunic, Paqueta, Saelemaekers.
