Ordine suggests Rabiot should be the one calling Milan: “Seize the opportunity”

With Ismael Bennacer’s injury, AC Milan are once again looking short in the midfield – not a new problem. There have been some suggestions that the Rossoneri should once again attempt Adrien Rabiot, but Franco Ordine believes it should be the other way around.

During the summer, Milan made several efforts to capture Rabiot’s signature, and the saga looked relatively dead last week with the Frenchman rejecting the latest offer from the Diavolo. Instead, he is in favour of a move to Barcelona, a move that seems improbable.

He is, of course, a subject of interest, and he was made an offer of €20 million per season by a Saudi Pro League club. Flattering, but perhaps, a statement of his standings in football.

No one else is offering anything close to that figure, and Rabiot is refusing anything below his requested wage, so there is a middle ground. Nevertheless, there is a footballer there, who can still play at the top level, so should he change his stance?

Well, Ordine believes so, and when speaking to Telelombardia he suggested that Rabiot should be approaching the Rossoneri because of their current problem, and his words have been relayed by Radio Rossonera.

“I believe that if Rabiot is assisted by a reasonable prosecutor, in my opinion, he will seize this opportunity. It is not Milan that has to go to Rabiot, but it is Rabiot who has to call Milan. Since I don’t think these are the premises, at this point I think that if the figures are the same as those mentioned on the websites and in the newspapers, then, in my opinion, it’s unthinkable.”
