Pedulla: Real Betis defender to join Milan with only doubt over arrival time

Knowledge about AC Milan’s desire to add to their defensive ranks is not new, and it seems the club have found an answer to their debacle.

In recent days, it has seemed as though the Rossoneri were deciding between Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior, who spent 18 months with Spezia, or Chelsea’s Benoit Badiashile, both loan options. However, with the former, there was a preference to have a buy clause inserted into the deal.

Whilst the club may still actively explore the opportunities for these deals, it seems they have made at least one contribution to their defensive ranks already.

Today, Alfredo Pedulla has reported that Milan are set to land Spanish left-back Juan Miranda as the answer to some of their defensive woes after almost finalising personal terms with the 23-year-old.

The versatile Spaniard’s contract will expire in June 2024, and Milan has been the club to pounce on this. While Milan has seemingly guaranteed his services for the 2024-25 season, they will now face the question of when he will join.

If the club wrap up negotiations before January, there is a chance that they will negotiate with Real Betis to bring the defender to the club in the mid-season transfer window. Otherwise, he will come for free next June.
