AC Milan are currently eight points behind league leaders Napoli and in order to compete for the Scudetto, more than a good run of results might be needed. However, January signings are evidently not a given.
Granted that the Rossoneri now have a game in hand due to the Bologna debacle, the gap with Napoli is still significant and could grow on Tuesday evening. The two will take on each other at San Siro and while it’s expected to be a sell-out clash, it will still be very difficult even with the support of the fans.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, the journalist Carlo Pellegatti spoke about the tight schedule and Milan’s need for reinforcements in January. However, he made it clear that he isn’t that optimistic on this front, with the Rossoneri seemingly content.
“I’m not very optimistic (I’m usually positive) about the fact that there will be reinforcements in January. Or that there will be big investments in January. I’ve already listened, when I ask about this or that player, I’ve already listened ‘but we’ll probably stay like this’,” he stated.
It remains to be seen what the stance of the management will be come January, as the position in the league standings surely will play a part. Regardless of this, though, it’s clear that deputies are needed for Youssouf Fofana and Filippo Terracciano.
Top teams usually don’t sign players in January because:
a) usually top players aren’t available in January; and
b) players struggle to integrate midway through a season with no preseason.
Having said that a well targeted January signing can make all of the difference.
Balotelli’s signing ultimately lead us to qualify for the champions league in 13/14, and the January 2020 transfer window where we sign Kjaer and Ibra was probably our most successful in the last 20 years.
We do need somebody in January in midfield so if we were to sign a midfield general with experience then I’d be supportive of that.

And also big teams or any teams in January they sign players if they wanna sign if they which usually it’s not genius. And we do need to sign players in January amd mostly sell some not chuk mayne benna
Man City, for example, have signed two first team squad players in January over the last 6 seasons: Alvarez and Laporte.
We have a squad of 27 players.
If you add your 5-6 we’d be over 30.
Why would we possibly need a squad this big?
How would the players get enough games?
What is the plan for our youth players?
Futuro?
what about promoting some of our younger players to the midfield, like Zeroli, Alesi, Vos and Liberali? We seem intent on ‘buying’ our way, halfway through the season. Surely some confidence in our ‘stock’ might reap dividends…We have more chance of picking up what we need next summer.
