AC Milan have already added a striker to the squad this summer, but Carlo Pellegatti would like to see another join the club.

Goncalo Ramos is a fantastic starting option, but questions can be asked of Francesco Camarda and Andrej Kostic and whether they’re ready to start. So, adding another option may be in their best interest for the club, and even the youngsters themselves.
Pellegatti requests striker back-up
In an editorial for MilanNews, Pellegatti claimed that the Diavolo would do well to add another striker to their team this summer and he listed a few options.
“A central striker alternative to Gonçalo Ramos, who gets married on July 25th, in addition to the young Kostić, with Camarda already being sought by Corradi’s Sampdoria, who knows him well, absolutely must be found. If there are good deals, financially speaking, I would go, without hesitation, for Keinan Davis, 28, English, currently at Udinese.
“He’s a striker with great strength and physicality, with a sustainable price tag. Jean-Philippe Mateta, who was already close to joining AC Milan last January, could also come back into fashion.”
Both moves would offer positives, but you’ve got to question if spending around €30 million on a back-up striker would be a wise idea. We shall have to see, certainly.

Icardi is a free agent. No need to spend any additional money unnecessarily on this position. With Gonçalo Ramos, Icardi and Kostic we should be covered.

I’d really like us to use Camarda as our back up instead of sending him to a bad Serie B side like Sampdoria. Let’s not repeat last season’s mistakes. Hopefully he plays and does well in preseason to convince the manager that he belongs in the first team. Also, we a limited budget and have other needs to fill in our squad, such as a wing back and a replacement for leao.
